 What We Do

NAMS Snehasadan – a home for the destitute children is a working project of NAMS Bangalore Unit. From a humble beginning with a few destitute children in the Year 1995, Snehasadan has been growing steadily with the untiring support of its well wishers. By this time, several children from this centre have completed their studies, secured jobs and living elsewhere on their own. As on today we have 29 children at Snehasadan. They are studying in various classes from Std. 1 to X as well as I.T.I. Present day work culture and ethics, erosion of values in life, prevalence of nuclear family system, spiritual deterioration etc. have been causing life of the aged miserable in many families.Often, the aged are neglected by their kith and kin for whose care they had spent their good old days. The sad plight of this neglected section of  the society touched the hearts of the Board of  Trustees of Snehasadan. The 13 years of encouragement for the cause of the poor and
the oppressed have strengthened the feelings of the Trustees who have resolved to extend a  helping hand to such of the needy and aged.

Home for the Aged- With the earnest desire of providing shelter, food, clothing, health care etc. to the deserving poor people above the age of 65 years, a building is being constructed in the Snehasadan premises itself. The proposed building consists of 13000 Sq. ft. built area & is estimated to cost around Rs.75 lakhs which includes required furniture etc. This amount is expected to be raised from the well wishers & supporters. So far a sum of Rs.42 lakhs has been spent for the construction and to complete the construction another Rs.33 lakhs is needed.Work is being continued subject to availability of funds.
